Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking an experienced RF/microwave engineer to join our Integrated Sensing & Protection team in Southampton (with Bristol option). You will design analogue and RF electronics for inter-vehicle data links and contribute across the product lifecycle from design to test and delivery.

You'll work with partners and customers, model architectures, simulate RF circuits, and document solutions in Teamcenter while collaborating with mechanical engineers to meet all design requirements in

Qualifications

• Practical RF design experience from DC to 30 GHz.
• Collaborate with PCB layout personnel in advisory capacity.
• Hands-on experience using RF test and measurement equipment.
• Ability to use RF and system modelling and simulation tools.
• Produce concise technical reports detailing design solutions and implementation.
• Experience in a high-technology defence environment.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of work packages focused on analogue and RF electronics, including inter-vehicle data link design, system test and integration.
• Modeling proposed architectures to determine optimal solutions.
• Simulation of RF design.
• Documentation of design including configuration management in Teamcenter.
• Support laboratory hardware demonstrator development and test.
