Leonardo UK Ltd in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced RF/Microwave Engineer to join the headed radar division, focusing on developing cutting-edge radio-frequency systems for advanced defence solutions.

The role requires a strong background in RF circuit design, microwave techniques, and electromagnetic theory, with responsibilities including leading research packages, supervising junior engineers, and delivering robust design and manufacturing data packs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience (5 years +) in RF circuit design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of microwave techniques and electromagnetic theory.
• Proficiency in using commercial RF analysis/simulation tools and schematic capture such as ADS, AWR, CST.

Responsibilities

• Lead a series of applied research work-packages and feasibility studies, document and report on their findings, and provide RF architectural recommendations.
• Create high quality and robust designs; document work products and manage configuration; conduct design reviews.
• Supervise junior engineers within RF assemblies.
• Ensure design reviews are planned, executed and completed successfully.
• Prepare robust manufacturing data packs and provide technical support to sub-contracts and engineering interface with manufacturing.
