Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking Senior/Principal RF & Microwave Engineers to join our hardware engineering team. The role is based at our Edinburgh site with additional Newcastle location and offers hybrid working options.

You will craft high‑quality RF PCB assemblies, perform RF circuit design, verify with lab testing, and collaborate across mechanical, systems, test, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of RF/microwave assemblies.

Qualifications

• Strong command of RF circuit design and microwave engineering.
• Experience with electromagnetic theory and RF measurement techniques.
• Awareness of requirements management tools such as IBM Doors.

Responsibilities

• Create RF PCB assemblies on multilayer substrates with active and passive RF components and integrate with digital/analogue/embedded control circuits.
• Design RF circuits including LNAs, PAs, filters, couplers, combiners, switches and oscillators.
• Ensure design reviews are planned, executed and completed successfully.
• Prepare manufacturing data packs and provide technical support to subcontractors and manufacturing interface.
