Job summary

Fluke Corporation in Norwich is seeking a Principal RF Hardware Engineer to own the design, simulation, and lifecycle of high‑performance RF hardware from concept to production.

You will mentor the team, lead cross‑functional collaborations with systems, firmware, and metrology, and drive architectural improvements, ensuring manufacturability and robust performance across DC to 27 GHz frequencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or RF/Microwave Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 15+ years of hands‑on precision RF and mixed‑signal hardware design, with a proven track record of shipping products to production.
• Direct design experience across DC to 27 GHz, with exposure to 50+ GHz advantageous.
• Strong RF/microwave design depth in synthesis, signal generation, leveling, and high‑frequency integrity.
• Experience with RF simulation and measurement correlation using VNAs and analyzers.
• Experience collaborating with manufacturing on DFM, test development, yield, and obsolescence.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills for cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal RF design authority, owning architecture and design of precision RF and mixed‑signal hardware and PCAs for low phase noise and spectral purity.
• Drive designs through full lifecycle from concept to sustaining production and on‑time shipping.
• Perform RF modeling and correlation with measurements using VNAs and testers.
• Lead design reviews, risk mitigation, and obsolescence management including second‑sourcing of critical RF components.
• Partner with factory and test teams to ensure producibility and first‑pass yield.
• Provide technical leadership across systems, firmware, and metrology; mentor engineers and capture RF knowledge.
• Influence RF technology roadmap by identifying risks and exploring higher‑frequency measurement tech.
