Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a Registered Manager for a 5-bed children's home in the Tees Valley area. You will lead the day‑to‑day operations, ensure Ofsted compliance and create a safe, nurturing environment for looked-after children, while supporting a dedicated staff team.

You'll work closely with clinicians and education staff to deliver holistic care, manage referrals, and drive continuous improvement. A Level 5 Diploma and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing an Ofsted rated Good or Outstanding children’s home.
• Proven leadership with ability to motivate staff and improve outcomes.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England).
• Full UK driving licence held ≥12 months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the children’s home and ensure Ofsted compliance.
• Lead a team to create a safe, secure, and supportive environment for young people.
• Manage referrals and admissions in line with service standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and staff development within the home.
