Job summary

QED Legal Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Conveyancing Solicitor/Manager in Manchester to lead the residential conveyancing team from Spinningfields. You will manage your own caseload while supervising junior staff, ensuring compliance with CQS and AML requirements, and developing client relationships.

The role combines technical expertise with management duties, aiming to grow the team and client base within a well-established regional law firm.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.
• Minimum 6 years' PQE in residential conveyancing.
• Experience running a residential conveyancing caseload independently.
• Experience managing CQS/MLRO or compliance responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of freehold/leasehold, Land Registry and SDLT.
• Solid AML and lender requirements understanding.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance with the Law Society CQS, including file audits.
• Support MLRO/compliance duties, including client due diligence and source of funds checks.
• Mentor junior solicitors and support staff.
• Build relationships with clients, estate agents, brokers and introducers.
• Contribute to marketing and business development activity.
• Ensure adherence to SRA rules and firm procedures.
