Job summary

Mears Group in Birmingham is recruiting an experienced Repairs & Maintenance Manager to lead responsive repairs and maintenance for the council contract.

You will manage supervisors, operatives and subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality and statutory compliance, while driving performance and customer satisfaction. This is a full-time, permanent role with a salary up to £52,500 plus a company car allowance, based on a 42.5-hour week and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in repairs or maintenance management within social housing or property maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance.
• Experience managing supervisors, operatives and subcontractors.
• Good budgeting and performance management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of responsive repairs and maintenance across occupied and void properties.
• Ensure works are completed safely, to required quality and compliance.
• Lead site visits, inspections and performance reviews.
• Manage resources and subcontractors to maintain productivity.
• Monitor KPIs and budgets, driving improvements.
• Promote customer-focused service and continuous improvement.
