Mears Group in Staines is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Supervisor to lead a field-based team delivering reactive repairs and planned maintenance across occupied properties under a social housing contract.

The role requires extensive health and safety compliance experience, strong people management and budgeting abilities, and a full UK driving license. You’ll drive service excellence, maintain high standards of resident communication, and ensure timely, safe delivery of works.

Qualifications

• Experience as Maintenance Supervisor or similar in housing or property maintenance.
• Proven track record in Health & Safety and compliance activities.
• Experience delivering planned and reactive maintenance in occupied properties.
• Full UK driving licence held.
• Knowledge of COSHH and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across occupied properties.
• Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to quality standards.
• Lead a team of operatives, providing guidance and performance management.
• Coordinate with clients and suppliers to meet service targets and contractual obligations.
• Monitor progress via system reports and ensure resident satisfaction.
