Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. is seeking a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician to lead the RME team on our UK sites. You will supervise technicians, monitor equipment performance, and implement upgrades to raise uptime and efficiency across EU facilities.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems, and a focus on safety and standardization of processes across our network.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics or a 4-year IRL/UK certified apprenticeship.
• Experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Experience in automation or material handling environments.
• Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate best practice on using equipment safely and monitor teams to ensure everyone follows the correct processes.
• Monitor equipment performance through visual checks, condition-based monitoring, and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Supervise technicians on shift to support their development and act as the first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
• Solve issues in equipment to reduce downtime for operations so they can process packages quickly.
• Support in finding ways to continually improve systems and standardize processes across the EU network.
