Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. is seeking a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineer (RME) Technician to lead maintenance teams and optimise equipment uptime across EU sites. You’ll implement preventative maintenance, monitor performance and drive process improvements in a fast-paced fulfilment environment.

You’ll oversee safe operations, use SCADA/CMMS tools, and collaborate with line managers to support admin tasks. Weekend/night shifts may be required at operational sites.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics, or completed a 4-year UK certified apprenticeship.
• SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics, or completed a 4-year UK certified apprenticeship.
• Experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, preventative maintenance procedures, blueprint and schematic reading, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics, PLC programs, NEC, work order management.
• Experience using CMMS to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate best practice on using equipment safely and monitor teams to ensure everyone follows the correct processes
• Keep track of equipment performance through visual checks, condition-based monitoring, and preventative maintenance tasks and schedule additional servicing when required
• Supervise technicians on shift to support their development and act as the first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers
• Solve issues in equipment to reduce downtime for operations so they can process packages as quickly as possible
• Support in finding ways to continually improve systems and standardise processes across the EU network
