Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. is seeking a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineer (RME) Technician to lead maintenance teams, ensure safe operation of equipment and drive efficiency across EU operations.

The role focuses on adopting new technologies, upgrades, and continuous process improvements to keep uptime high and performance optimal. You'll monitor shifts, supervise technicians, and collaborate with line managers on admin tasks, while working at an operational site with shifts including nights

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics, or completed a 4-year UK certified apprenticeship.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience in electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Experience in automation or material handling equipment environments.
• Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate best practice on equipment safety and monitor teams to ensure proper processes.
• Track equipment performance via visual checks, condition-based monitoring and preventative maintenance tasks; schedule servicing as needed.
• Supervise technicians on shift and act as first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
• Resolve equipment issues to reduce downtime and support fast package processing.
• Assist in standardising processes and driving improvements across the EU network.
