Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Reliability Maintenance Engineer to lead shifts, supervise technicians, and ensure safe, efficient operations at a UK site. You will monitor equipment, drive preventive maintenance, and champion improvements across an EU-wide network.

The role requires strong English communication, a technical apprenticeship or degree, and experience with automation or material handling equipment. Some weekend/night shifts are possible.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics or a completed UK/IRL apprenticeship.
• Experience in a technical leadership role is required.
• Experience in both electrical and mechanical disciplines is required.
• Experience in automation or material handling environments is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate best practice on using equipment safely and monitor teams to ensure correct processes are followed.
• Track equipment performance through visual checks and preventive maintenance tasks; schedule servicing as needed.
• Supervise on-shift technicians and act as primary contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
• Resolve equipment issues to reduce downtime and speed up package processing.
• Identify and drive improvements to standardize processes across the EU network.
