Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. is seeking a shift leader to ensure equipment availability and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

You will monitor performance, lead maintenance tasks, and support technicians across the site to minimise downtime. You will drive improvements, supervise colleagues, and coordinate with line managers on administrative tasks while working at an operational site with weekend and night shifts.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics or 4-year UK apprenticeship.
SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics or 4-year UK apprenticeship.
Flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.
Experience using CMMS to plan proactive maintenance and record tasks.
Technical leadership experience.
Experience in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
Experience in automation or material handling environments.
Strong verbal and written English skills.

Responsibilities

Lead a shift to ensure equipment is available and running, following regulations and policies.
Monitor equipment performance and schedule preventative maintenance.
Supervise technicians and act as first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
Troubleshoot equipment to reduce downtime and keep operations moving.
Identify improvements and standardise processes across the EU network.
