Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. is seeking a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician (RME) to lead a shift-based team in maintaining automated equipment and ensuring high uptime at an operational site in Reading.

You will oversee preventative maintenance, monitor performance, and drive improvements across our EU network. The role requires NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, a technical leadership background, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical/electrical/mechatronics
• Experience in a technical leadership role
• Strong English communication (verbal and written)
• Experience with automation or material handling equipment

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate best practice on equipment safety and monitor team adherence to processes
• Track equipment performance via visual checks, CBM, and preventative maintenance
• Supervise shift technicians and be the first point of contact for RME engineers
• Resolve equipment issues to minimise downtime and speed up packaging operations
• Identify and implement process improvements across the EU network
