Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Technician to lead on-site maintenance across our EU network. You will supervise shifts, apply best practices for safe operation, and implement upgrades to raise uptime and efficiency.

The role requires a strong mechanical/electrical/mechatronics background, a UK-recognised apprenticeship, and flexibility to work weekends and nights. You will collaborate with automation teams and drive continuous improvement across sites.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3/ SVQ Level 3/ IVQ Level 3/ City & Guilds Level 3/ EAL Level 3, all specialized in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics
• 4 years UK certified apprenticeship
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays (shift work)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate best practice on using equipment safely and monitor teams to ensure everyone follows the correct processes
• Keep track of equipment performance through visual checks, condition-based monitoring, and preventative maintenance tasks and schedule additional servicing when required
• Supervise technicians on shift to support their development and act as the first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers
• Solve issues in equipment to reduce downtime for operations so they can process packages as quickly as possible
• Support in finding ways to continually improve systems and standardise processes across the EU network
