Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to join our asset management team, focusing on improving the availability, reliability and performance of power generation assets. The role supports operations remotely with occasional site visits to East London, Eastern Cape.

You will develop RCM-based maintenance strategies, oversee condition monitoring programs, and perform RCFA to minimize downtime. This position offers challenging analytics, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in reliability engineering, asset management, or maintenance engineering.
• Experience with condition monitoring and predictive maintenance technologies.
• Knowledge of FMEA and RCM methodologies.
• Strong data analysis, communication, and independent work skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine RCM strategies for power generation assets.
• Oversee data from condition monitoring programs and analyze trends.
• Perform RCFA and recommend corrective actions.
• Create proactive maintenance plans for critical equipment.
• Manage reliability-related maintenance budgets and reporting.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to implement improvements.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in maintenance activities.
