Job summary

Rehlko Uninterruptible Power Ltd. is seeking a Generator Service Engineer to support critical power infrastructure in data centre environments.

You will carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on standby power generation equipment at fixed customer sites, ensuring reliability and maximum uptime. The role requires time-served mechanical/electrical expertise, strong fault-finding skills, and the ability to work safely in high-compliance settings.

Qualifications

• Time-served Mechanical/Electrical Engineer or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
• Experience on generators, critical power systems or similar equipment is advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Able to work safely in high-compliance environments.
• Excellent communication with customers and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on standby power generation equipment in data centre environments.
• Diagnosing faults and completing breakdown repairs to ensure maximum equipment reliability and uptime.
• Working on fixed customer sites, supporting critical power infrastructure and emergency backup systems.
• Building strong relationships with site teams and customers, delivering a professional and responsive service.
• Coordinating with Coordinators and Service Managers to ensure maintenance schedules are met.
• Accurately recording all work carried out using the company management system.
• Participating in the site or regional on-call rota (approximately 1 in 6).
• Adhering to Health & Safety, environmental and quality management systems.
