Job summary

Stone King LLP is seeking a senior associate to join the nationally renowned Real Estate team. The role is based from Bath, Birmingham, or Leeds with hybrid working. The successful candidate will have scope to lead within the team and develop their career.

You will manage complex commercial property matters, supervise junior colleagues, and contribute to business development and client relationships across the firm.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a solicitor in Commercial Property with supervision of others.
• Proactive business development and marketing experience.
• Ability to independently manage a mixed portfolio of complex transactions.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of commercial property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant work, development projects and property finance transactions.
• Lead complex real estate transactions from instruction through to completion, ensuring timely and commercial delivery.
• Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to developers, investors, occupiers, lenders and landowners.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted adviser and main contact.
• Draft, review and negotiate leases, agreements for lease, sale contracts, licences, and ancillary documents.
• Collaborate with Corporate, Construction and Planning teams on cross‑sector transactions.
• Identify and manage risks with practical solutions to support client objectives.
• Supervise, mentor and support junior solicitors, trainees and staff.
• Contribute to business development and client events and thought leadership.
