Job summary

Stone King LLP is seeking a senior associate to join its nationally recognised Real Estate team, with bases in Bath, Birmingham, or Leeds. The role offers a hybrid working environment and a clear path to leadership within the team.

You will manage a varied caseload across commercial property, lead transactions from instruction to completion, and provide strategic advice to developers, investors, occupiers and lenders while mentoring junior solicitors.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a solicitor in Commercial Property.
• Proven supervision and development of junior solicitors.
• Strong business development and marketing activity.
• Ability to lead and deliver complex real estate transactions.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of commercial property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant work, development projects, and property finance transactions.
• Lead complex real estate transactions from instruction through to completion, ensuring timely and commercial delivery.
• Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to a broad range of clients including developers, investors, occupiers, lenders and landowners.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser and key point of contact.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial property documentation, including leases, agreements for lease, sale contracts, licences, and ancillary documents.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Corporate, Construction and Planning teams on cross-sector transactions.
• Identify and manage legal and commercial risks, offering practical solutions to client objectives.
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior solicitors, trainees and support staff.
• Contribute to business development initiatives, including networking, client events, seminars and thought leadership.
• Support growth of the Commercial Property team through client relationship management and new business opportunities.
• Maintain awareness of market trends and developments affecting commercial real estate.
