Job summary

Stone King is seeking a senior associate to join our nationally renowned Real Estate team, based from Bath, Birmingham or Leeds with a hybrid working environment and a clear path to lead within the team.

The role involves managing a varied caseload of commercial property matters, leading complex transactions, and providing pragmatic advice to developers, investors, occupiers, lenders and landowners while mentoring junior solicitors and supporting business development.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a solicitor with Commercial Property law and complex transactions.
• Experience supervising and developing other team members.
• Pro-active business development and marketing; ability to promote the firm and cross-sell internal specialisms.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of commercial property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant work, development projects, and property finance transactions.
• Lead complex real estate transactions from instruction through to completion, ensuring timely and commercial delivery.
• Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to a broad range of clients including developers, investors, occupiers, lenders and landowners.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser and main contact.
• Draft, review, and negotiate leases, agreements for lease, sale contracts, licences and ancillary documents.
• Collaborate with Corporate, Construction and Planning teams on cross-sector transactions.
• Identify and manage legal/commercial risks and offer practical solutions.
• Supervise and mentor junior solicitors, trainees and support staff.
• Contribute to business development via networking, client events, seminars and thought leadership.
