Job summary

ECM Selection is seeking a Senior/Lead Full Stack Developer to spearhead a new digital transformation for a UK science research organisation. You will lead hands-on delivery of modern web applications with a strong emphasis on UX, performance and accessibility, while guiding technical direction.

You will work with React, Next.js and Python/Django, engage with external stakeholders and contribute to design, build, test and operations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a senior or lead level full stack developer with modern web technologies, strong front end focus (React/Next.js) and Python or Django.
• Experience or exposure to Headless CMS and API-driven architectures, plus CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
• Good communication skills and experience working with external technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead new web application projects with hands-on development and technical leadership.
• Focus on user experience and modern web technologies to improve visibility and stakeholder engagement.
• Contribute to design, build, test, optimisation and operation of web applications.
