ECM Selection (Holdings) Limited is seeking a hands-on Lead / Senior Software Engineer for a 24 months FTC near Cambridge. The role combines leadership with practical development across React/Next.js and Python/Django, focused on modern web platforms and UX improvements.

You will report to the CIO, lead a small team, and work in a hybrid setup (2 days in the office). The salary is up to £62,000 DoE with a wide range of benefits including medical insurance and enhanced pension contributions.

Qualifications

• Senior or lead software engineer with commercial experience on modern websites or digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute as a hands-on software engineer to build modern web platforms.
• Improve user experience and architect scalable frontend/backend.

• Manage direct reports and conduct performance reviews.
