Job summary

TXP Technology x People in the UK is seeking a Senior Front End Developer to lead React-based UI work within our West Midlands delivery teams. This hybrid, permanent role focuses on building high-quality, accessible interfaces and collaborating across design, back-end and QA to ensure robust solutions.

You'll mentor developers, own technical delivery, participate in Agile ceremonies and help raise engineering standards while remaining hands-on across the full SDLC.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with React.
• Experience with modern JS frameworks including Remix and React Router.
• In-depth knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of server-side rendering (SSR) and progressive enhancement.
• Experience using the MUI React component library.
• Strong experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing, ideally using Playwright.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams.
• A good understanding of software design, implementation and deployment principles.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining front-end applications using React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Working across the full SDLC: design, coding, testing, defect resolution and deployment.
• Ensuring work meets agreed quality, functionality and delivery timelines.
• Participating fully in Agile, sprint-based delivery, including planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Building user interfaces that consume and integrate REST APIs.
• Applying best practice around code quality, performance, accessibility and progressive enhancement.
• Supporting and mentoring junior developers and contractors where appropriate.
• Collaborating with back-end engineers and QA to deliver well-rounded solutions.
• Contributing to shared standards, patterns and continuous improvement across the team.
