Job summary

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is recruiting for 4 x Senior Support Workers (Permanent) to join the Assessment and Independence service across the Dudley borough. The role is 37 hours per week, on a flexible rota including some weekends and evenings, with enhancements for unsocial hours.

You will support Community Care Supervisors, help people live independently at home and contribute to safe discharge and care provision.

Qualifications

• Senior Support Worker role within the Assessment and Independence service.
• 37 hours per week with a flexible rota including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Taking delegated responsibility to enable people to be supported at home with their daily living activities
• Supporting a community care service providing person-centred support and opportunities for people and their carers
• Looking after a team of designated staff to meet service initiatives and legislative standards (e.g. CQC, Care Act)
• Assisting in managing demand for care capacity and ensuring safe discharge and care provision
• Working to maximise a person’s independence to deliver person-centred outcomes
