Job summary

CPR is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to take technical ownership of the light systems scope for the Washwood Heath depot project in the Birmingham area. You will work across signalling, SCADA and telecomms, coordinating with client and contractor teams to resolve engineering risks before they impact delivery.

You will oversee interface management, design assurance, construction and commissioning activities, and contribute to safety and CDM compliance.

Qualifications

Background in railway systems engineering with light systems disciplines (signalling, SCADA, telecomms).
Experience in client-side or technically accountable roles and working with contractors/supply chain.
Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and NEC3 contract structures.
Chartered Engineer status or active progression toward it, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Take technical ownership of the light systems scope across Washwood Heath depot.
Coordinate interfaces across contracts and with client and contractor teams.
Support NEC3 Supervisor duties and act as Principal Designer Representative under CDM 2015.
Assure design, construction and commissioning activities and manage risk.
Identify engineering risks early and drive resolution across the programme.
