Job summary

Hitachi Rail Limited is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design, development and maintenance of rail solutions for bids and projects in the UK. You will drive architectural decisions and ensure delivery of work packages, mentoring teammates along the way.

The role is hybrid, with two days per week in our London, Birmingham or Cheadle offices, depending on bid and project needs and your location.

Qualifications

• Senior-level Systems Engineer with rail/transport project experience.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across design and delivery.
• Knowledge of railway safety standards and systems engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable rail systems meet client needs.
• Provide technical input to architectural decisions and trade studies.
• Mentor and coach team members and ensure delivery of work packages.
