Job summary

Mott MacDonald seeks a Principal Design Manager to lead the design, integration and delivery of rail civil engineering projects across the UK. You will shape and grow the local rail civil engineering team within a UK-wide group, embedding technical excellence at the core of all activities.

You will mentor early career professionals and collaborate with clients, authorities and partners to ensure high-quality outcomes and responsible delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Chartered Engineer with ICE or equivalent.
• Extensive UK rail sector experience delivering multi-disciplinary projects.
• Proven leadership of technical delivery on complex rail schemes.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of rail civil engineering projects UK-wide.
• Coordinate input from multi-discipline engineers and specialists.
• Deliver safe, practical, sustainable design solutions.
• Mentor Early Career Professionals and develop the team.
