Job summary

Morson Edge is recruiting an Engineer to support maintenance optimisation and value improvement in a major rail environment. You will review maintenance regimes, challenge specifications and identify efficiency opportunities across asset performance domains.

Open to engineers at all levels, with strong analytical skills and stakeholder management. This hybrid London role invites you to apply engineering knowledge to improve costs, performance and reliability in a regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Engineering background in rail, infrastructure, transport, utilities or regulated environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Confident written and verbal communicator.
• Good organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with suppliers or contractors is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Built Environment, Civils or Track is advantageous.
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent preferred but not essential depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and challenge maintenance regimes, requirements and specifications.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and optimise maintenance strategies.
• Analyse maintenance and asset performance data to support recommendations.
• Support cost modelling, benefits assessments and savings tracking.
• Produce clear technical reports, business cases and presentations.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, procurement, finance and planning teams.
• Support value-chain, contract and supply-chain analysis.
• Manage multiple workstreams and maintain records of actions and findings.
