Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Rolling Stock Engineer to join the Asset Maintenance Optimisation team in Northampton. You will lead investigations, optimise maintenance strategies and provide technical leadership across the supply chain to improve reliability and safety of the rolling stock fleet.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver effective engineering solutions, manage risks, and drive continuous improvements in fleet performance for Train Operating Companies and rolling stock

Qualifications

• Proven experience in rolling stock optimisation and condition assessment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to investigate technical issues, analyse data and develop practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into rolling stock engineering issues, incidents and safety defects to identify root causes and implement sustainable fixes.
• Develop maintenance strategies to optimise lifecycle costs, safety, availability and performance.
• Produce technical specifications, risk assessments and business cases for reliability enhancements.
• Provide technical leadership across the supply chain and collaborate with suppliers and customers.
• Promote safety and compliance with Siemens health, safety and environmental standards.
