Porterbrook is seeking an experienced Asset Management Engineer to join the team in the Derby, London, or Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre. You will oversee asset disposal, storage, spares governance, and cost reporting, ensuring compliance with internal standards and environmental sustainability.

The role requires knowledge of rail asset management, contractual obligations, and strong analytical skills to deliver accurate costings and audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of railway rolling stock and asset management requirements.
• Understanding of contractual obligations and operating lease agreements.
• Interpersonal and analytical skills for reporting and governance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the disposal of end-of-life assets following governance.
• Coordinate storage procedures for vehicles entering storage.
• Audit and oversee spares provisioning and supplier contracts.
• Support vehicle condition reporting and redelivery costing.
