Siemens Mobility in Northampton is seeking a Rolling Stock Engineer to join the Asset Maintenance Optimisation team. You will lead investigations into rolling stock systems, support maintenance optimisation, and drive continuous improvements to safety, reliability and life-cycle performance across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Proven Rolling Stock Optimisation and condition assessment experience.
• Engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of modern IT systems and engineering software tools.

Responsabilités

• Lead investigations into rolling stock engineering issues, technical incidents and safety-related defects; identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Optimise maintenance and lifecycle costs through analysis and the development of maintenance, overhaul and repair strategies.
• Deliver engineering improvements by producing specifications, risk assessments and business cases.
• Provide technical leadership across the supply chain and manage relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Champion engineering excellence by monitoring industry developments and sharing best practice.
• Promote safety and compliance by adhering to health, safety and environmental standards.
