Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Rolling Stock Engineer in Northampton to join the Asset Maintenance Optimisation team. You will support train systems across the rolling stock fleet, optimise component life-cycles and improve safety and reliability.

You will lead investigations, contribute to maintenance strategies and drive continuous improvement across the asset lifecycle, while working with suppliers and customers to deliver effective engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in rolling stock optimisation and maintenance planning.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with ability to investigate technical issues.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into rolling stock issues and safety defects; identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Develop maintenance, overhaul, and repair strategies to improve safety and availability.
• Produce technical specs, risk assessments and business cases for improvements.
• Provide technical leadership across the supply chain and ensure high quality outputs.
