Job summary

Aegiq Ltd. is seeking a Systems Engineer to shape next-generation quantum computing systems, guiding multidisciplinary hardware and software from concept through integration, testing and deployment. Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Physics or related discipline (Master's/PhD welcome).
• Experience in developing or integrating complex multidisciplinary hardware systems.
• Ability to understand subsystem interactions and make system-level trade-offs.
• Structured engineering development: requirements, interfaces, risk, verification/validation.

Responsibilities

• Define system requirements and architectures; translate objectives into measurable specs.
• Define and manage interfaces between subsystems to ensure full system integration.
• Develop system-level performance budgets and metrics (optical loss, fidelity, stability, reliability).
• Plan and support subsystem integration, testing and verification activities.
• Evaluate design choices using optical, thermal, mechanical and electrical modelling.
• Contribute to hardware prototyping, testing and Python-based test/control tool development.
• Support transition from lab prototypes to deployable hardware with maintainability and remote operation in mind.
• Coordinate across engineering disciplines to address design challenges and track progress.
