Job summary

Contract Scotland is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a major infrastructure contractor in Scotland. You will manage the commercial and financial aspects of civil engineering projects, including cost reporting and forecasts.

You'll collaborate with operations, procurement and project teams across Scotland Water capital programmes. A degree or HNC/HND in QS and UK driving licence preferred.

The role offers a permanent contract with a competitive package and a strong pipeline of long-term projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or an HNC/HND in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Previous Quantity Surveying or commercial experience.
• Strong financial analysis, cost control and forecasting skills.
• Ability to work effectively with operational and commercial teams.
• Proactive approach to identifying commercial opportunities and managing project costs.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial administration and financial performance of projects.
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and forecasts.
• Preparing accurate financial reports and cost analysis.
• Supporting procurement strategies and subcontractor management.
• Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and potential cost savings.
• Challenging financial variances and driving value throughout project delivery.
• Working collaboratively with project delivery teams to ensure contractual and commercial compliance.
