Job summary

Search Consultancy is seeking a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to join a growing infrastructure and utilities team in Scotland. You will manage commercial aspects from procurement to final account, prepare valuations, monitor costs and optimise financial performance across a varied portfolio.

You will work closely with Project Managers and operational teams to ensure projects meet budgets and contractual obligations, while building strong client and subcontractor relationships throughout

Qualifications

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor in utilities, civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of commercial management, cost control and contract administration.
• Experience managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Managing commercial aspects of infrastructure and utilities projects from procurement through to final account.
• Preparing and submitting interim valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and forecasts, identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
• Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, variations and final accounts.
• Working with Project Managers and operational teams to keep projects within budget and targets.
• Administering contracts and ensuring reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time.
