Job summary

Search Consultancy is helping a well-established civil engineering and construction contractor recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in Scotland. You will take responsibility for the commercial management of civil engineering, groundworks and infrastructure projects, working closely with project teams to maximise profitability and control costs.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering, strong cost control, contract administration

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial management within civil engineering, groundworks or infrastructure.
• Strong negotiation and contractual awareness.
• Excellent written and spoken communication with internal teams and clients.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial aspects of civil engineering projects from procurement through final account.
• Preparing, submitting and agreeing interim valuations, payments and final accounts.
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and final account settlements.
• Collaborating with Project Managers and site teams to ensure profitability and commercial performance.
• Administering contracts, handling variations and providing accurate reporting to senior management.
