Job summary

S1jobs in Scotland is seeking a highly motivated Quantity Surveyor to support a major infrastructure contractor across clean and water projects. You will manage commercial and financial aspects of delivery and work with operations, procurement and commercial teams to ensure contracts are executed in line with requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or HNC/HND in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Previous Quantity Surveying or commercial experience.
• Strong financial analysis, cost control and forecasting skills.
• Ability to work effectively with operational and commercial teams.
• Proactive approach to identifying commercial opportunities and managing project costs.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial administration and financial performance of projects.
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and forecasts.
• Preparing accurate financial reports and cost analysis.
• Supporting procurement strategies and subcontractor management.
• Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and potential cost savings.
• Challenging financial variances and driving value throughout project delivery.
• Working collaboratively with project delivery teams to ensure contractual and commercial compliance.
