Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and financial aspects of major T&D projects on a contract basis in the UK. You will oversee all QS activities, control budgets, forecast costs, and provide expert contract guidance.

The role requires significant quantity surveying experience in T&D, strong negotiation skills, and a degree in Quantity Surveying. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in quantity surveying within the T&D or related sectors.
• Strong commercial acumen and excellent negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools.
• Understanding of contract law and standard forms of contract.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all aspects of quantity surveying on large-scale T&D projects.
• Managing project budgets, forecasting costs, and ensuring financial control.
• Preparing detailed reports and contractual documents.
• Assessing and managing commercial risks associated with projects.
