Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP/CSA) to join the Blyth project team in the United Kingdom. You will lead commercial management on large-scale developments, ensuring value and governance.

Responsibilities include budgeting, procurement, contract administration, change control, and reporting. You will collaborate with project managers and site teams on cost management and commercial strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in QS/CM or related discipline.
• 8+ years' QS experience in the construction industry.
• Strong cost management, procurement and contract administration.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and financial management skills.
• Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial practices.
• Ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of project delivery.
• Prepare, review and maintain project budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
• Lead procurement activities, including tendering and contract negotiations.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Support Project Managers with cost management and commercial advice.
• Ensure contractual records and documentation are maintained accurately.
• Attend commercial meetings, project reviews and site meetings.
• Assess and manage change orders and project variations.
• Prepare interim valuations, payment applications and final accounts submissions.
• Produce commercial reports for senior management.
• Resolve commercial and contractual issues to protect project performance.
