Linear Recruitment Ltd represents a well-established regional building contractor in the North East, seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to own the commercial delivery on projects up to £20m. You will work closely with operational teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure financial targets are met.

You should have proven experience as a QS or Senior QS in building construction, with strong cost management, procurement and contract administration skills.

Formación

• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor role.
• Strong background in building construction projects.
• Experience managing projects or work packages of significant value.
• Excellent commercial awareness and financial management skills.
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider commercial team.

Responsabilidades

• Taking full commercial responsibility for projects valued up to £20m.
• Managing project costs, budgets, forecasts and cash flow.
• Preparing and reviewing monthly cost reports and CVRs.
• Leading subcontract procurement, package negotiation and appointment.
• Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments.
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
• Administering contracts, including variations, change control and contractual notices.
• Negotiating and agreeing final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Working collaboratively with project managers and site teams to maximise profitability and maintain commercial control.
