Linear Recruitment Ltd represents a well-established regional building contractor in the North East, seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to own the commercial delivery on projects up to £20m. You will work closely with operational teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure financial targets are met.

You should have proven experience as a QS or Senior QS in building construction, with strong cost management, procurement and contract administration skills.

Our client, a well-established regional building contractor, is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. With a strong pipeline of secured work and a reputation for delivering quality projects across a range of sectors, this is an excellent opportunity to join a respected contractor with an established presence in the region.

Delivering projects with values of up to £15m, the business undertakes a varied portfolio of construction schemes, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to take commercial ownership of projects from procurement through to final account.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of projects, working closely with operational teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure successful financial delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

About You

We are keen to speak with commercially astute Quantity Surveyors who have experience working for a main contractor or regional building contractor within the construction industry.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor role.
• A strong background in building construction projects.
• Experience managing projects or work packages of significant value.
• Excellent commercial awareness and financial management skills.
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a wider commercial team.

A relevant degree is advantageous.
