Job summary

ROA Talent is supporting a well‑established construction business hiring a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of 1-3 projects across the region. This role covers the full commercial lifecycle, including cost control, cash flow and final accounts.

You will manage subcontractor procurement, valuations and re‑measures, ensuring contractual entitlement under JCT and NEC contracts, with travel across the region and UK driving licence required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Quantity Surveying / commercial experience in construction.
• Experience on large groundworks/earthworks projects between £5-40million as Subcontractor.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial responsibility for projects from procurement through to final account.
• Prepare and submit valuations and applications for payment, ensuring strong project cash flow.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, orders, valuations, payments and final accounts.
• Produce accurate monthly CVRs, forecasts and final profit projections.
• Re‑measure works and maximise contractual entitlement.
• Ensure contractual compliance, including working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
• Work closely with site teams to maintain accurate records, notices and commercial documentation.
• Support the Commercial Director across wider commercial and contractual matters.

This is a hands‑on role covering the full commercial lifecycle, with responsibility for cost control, contractor management, valuations, cash flow and project profitability.
