Job summary

EKFB is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for the Greatworth to Southam area. The role involves independent work and leading a small commercial team, with duties from variation accounts to final settlements on main and subcontracts.

You will monitor costs, valuations, and payments, issuing notices and ensuring contract compliance. Strong commercial acumen and mentoring ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified with a Quantity Surveying degree or similar.
• Enrolled in, or seeking membership of, a relevant professional institution (CICES, RICS or similar).
• Successful experience at Quantity Surveyor level with positive commercial outcomes.
• Ability to listen, learn and mentor junior team members.
• Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Valid CSCS card.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cost monitoring against targets and programmes with other disciplines.
• Prepare and agree variation accounts for main contracts and sub-contracts.
• Prepare and issue interim and final valuations and accounts; certify subcontract payments.
• Provide contractual advice and ensure compliance with contract/legislation.
• Negotiate and progress dispute resolution; identify commercial risks and controls.
