Job summary

EKFB is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for the Greatworth to Southam area. You will work largely on cost control, valuation, variations and final accounts, while mentoring junior staff and guiding commercial decisions. The role requires independent work, some team leadership and solid contract knowledge.

You will provide contractual advice, monitor progress, and help manage commercial risk in a major infrastructure project. UK driving licence and CSCS are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified with a Quantity Surveying degree or similar.
• Enrolled in, or seeking membership of, a relevant professional institution (CICES, RICS or similar).
• Successful experience at Quantity Surveyor level with a track record of delivering positive commercial outcomes.
• Ability to listen, learn and mentor junior team members.
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
• Must hold a valid CSCS card.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and agree variation accounts for main contract and sub-contracts.
• Monitor cost against targets and progress against programmes.
• Prepare interim valuations, final valuations, final accounts and sub-contract final accounts.
• Prepare and issue certification and payment of sub-contractors.
• Provide contractual advice to management and ensure compliance with contract and legal obligations.
• Negotiate and progress resolution of disputes; identify commercial risks and options for control and management.
