Job summary

EKFB is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our route-wide Commercial team based in Milton Keynes. The role will involve working independently and guiding a small team, with duties including agreement of variation accounts, cost monitoring, and ensuring progress against programmes.

Qualifications

• Qualified with a Quantity Surveying degree or similar.
• Enrolled in, or seeking membership of, a relevant professional institution (CICES, RICS or similar).
• Successful experience at Quantity Surveyor level, delivering a positive commercial outcome for the project(s).
• The ability to listen, learn and take on board new concepts and carry out actions, whilst mentoring junior team members.
• You must hold a Full Driving License and have access to your own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and agree variation accounts - main contract and sub-contracts.
• Monitor cost against targets and contract progress against programmes and work plans.
• Provide input into change control procedures for EOT, delays and performance adjustments.
• Prepare and agree interim valuations, final valuations, final accounts and sub-contract final accounts.
• Prepare and issue certification and payment of sub-contractors.
• Provide contractual advice to management and ensure compliance with contract and legal obligations.
