Job summary

EKFB, a joint venture of Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a Greatworth to Southam area of works. The role requires independent delivery and occasional leadership of a small commercial team, with responsibilities across cost control, variation accounts and contractual administration.

You will prepare interim and final valuations, certify payments to sub-contractors, advise on contract and legal issues, and contribute to change

Qualifications

• Qualified with a Quantity Surveying degree or similar.
• Enrolled in, or seeking membership of, a relevant professional institution (CICES, RICS or similar).
• Successful experience at Quantity Surveyor level, delivering a positive commercial outcome for the project(s).
• The ability to listen, learn and take on board new concepts and carry out actions, whilst mentoring junior team members.
• Must hold a valid UK drivers license and have access to a vehicle
• Must hold a valid CSCS card

Responsibilities

• Carry out tasks independently and lead a small group of commercial staff.
• Prepare and agree variation accounts for main contracts and sub-contracts.
• Monitor cost against targets and contract progress against programmes.
• Provide input into change control procedures for EOT, delays and performance adjustment.
• Prepare and issue interim valuations, final valuations, final accounts and sub-contract final accounts.
• Prepare and issue certification and payment of sub-contractors.
• Provide contractual advice to management and ensure compliance with contract and legal obligations.
• Negotiate and progress the resolution of disputes.
• Identify potential commercial risks and evaluate options for their control and management.
