Job summary

EKFB is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Milton Keynes-based commercial team. You will prepare and agree variation accounts, monitor costs, and ensure contract progress aligns with programs. The role requires providing contractual advice and leading a small team when needed.

You will also manage interim and final valuations, final accounts, and subcontract payments, while ensuring compliance with notices and EOT processes.

Qualifications

• Qualified with a Quantity Surveying degree or similar.
• Enrolled in, or seeking membership of, a relevant professional institution (CICES, RICS or similar).
• Successful experience at Quantity Surveyor level, delivering a positive commercial outcome for projects you’ve worked on.
• Ability to listen, learn and mentor junior team members.
• Full Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and agree variation accounts for main contract and sub-contracts.
• Monitor cost against targets and contract progress with other team disciplines.
• Provide input into change control procedures for EOT, delays and performance adjustments.
• Prepare and issue interim valuations, final valuations and final accounts.
• Issue certification and payment of sub-contractors; give contractual advice to management.
