Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Blantyre, Scotland to lead commercial management on infrastructure and rail projects.

You will control project costs, forecast, manage subcontractors, and ensure strong client relationships and value. This role offers autonomy within a well-established team and exposure to major rail schemes.

Qualifications

• Qualified QS with relevant commercial qualifications.
• Strong experience with CVRs, forecasting and reporting.
• Good knowledge of NEC and other contract forms.
• Experience managing projects with limited supervision.
• Strong subcontract and supply chain management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Rail or major infrastructure experience is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage project costs and overall commercial performance.
• Prepare CVR, forecast and commercial reporting.
• Manage contractual obligations and commercial risk.
• Procurement and subcontract management.
• Handle changes, variations and final accounts.
• Identify commercial opportunities and best-value solutions.
• Build relationships with clients and supply chain partners.
• Provide commercial support to the project team.
• Manage projects with a high degree of autonomy.
