Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd. is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the infrastructure and rail team based in Blantyre, Scotland.

You will lead the commercial management of large civil engineering and rail projects with autonomy within a robust commercial function. The role focuses on CVR, forecasting, contract knowledge (NEC and others), procurement and risk management, while maintaining strong client and supply-chain relationships.

Qualifications

• Relevant commercial/QS qualification.
• Strong experience with CVRs, forecasting and commercial reporting.
• Good knowledge of NEC and other forms of contract.
• Experience managing projects with limited supervision.
• Strong subcontract and supply chain management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive and commercially driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Managing project costs and overall commercial performance.
• CVR preparation, forecasting and commercial reporting.
• Managing contractual obligations and commercial risk.
• Procurement and subcontract management.
• Managing change, variations and final accounts.
• Identifying commercial opportunities and best-value solutions.
• Building strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners.
• Providing commercial support and guidance to the wider project team.
• Managing projects with a high degree of autonomy.
