Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is recruiting a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join an established infrastructure contractor on rail and civil engineering projects in Scotland. You will manage project costs, forecasting and contractual obligations from pre-construction through to completion on a variety of major schemes.

The role offers a competitive salary of £55,000-£65,000 plus a car or car allowance and benefits, with scope for long-term career development within a busy project portfolio

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a Quantity Surveying role.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain relationships.
• Good understanding of project costs, forecasting and reporting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing project costs and commercial performance.
• Cost forecasting, reporting and final accounts.
• Managing contractual and commercial obligations.
• Procurement and subcontract management.
• Identifying commercial opportunities and managing risk.
• Managing variations and change.
• Working closely with project teams, clients and the supply chain.
• Supporting the delivery of projects safely, efficiently and commercially.
